Privacy Policy

Last updated June 2026

This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to run your lessons well and to keep your account secure.

01What we collect

Account details you give us (name, email, password, role, timezone), your bookings and lesson history, payments you submit and their confirmation status, messages and feedback, lesson recordings, and basic technical data (such as device and log information) needed to operate the service.

02How we use it

To create your account, match you with teachers, schedule and run lessons, process and verify payments, send service emails and notifications, improve the platform, and keep it safe. We don't sell your personal information.

03Who we share it with

With your teacher (the details needed to teach your class), and with service providers that help us operate — for example email delivery (Brevo), payment and storage providers. They may only use your data to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information if required by law.

04Email

We send transactional emails (welcome, booking, payment, payout, and password reset). These are tied to your account activity. We don't send marketing email you can't opt out of.

05Recordings

If a lesson is recorded, the recording is stored securely, available to you and your teacher for a limited period, and then deleted. It's used only to help you review and improve.

06Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as needed to meet legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. You can ask us to delete your account; some records may be retained where the law requires.

07Your choices

You can view and update your profile, change your password, and request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting us. You control your notification preferences in Settings.

08Security

Passwords are hashed, traffic is encrypted in transit, and access to data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and act quickly if something goes wrong.

09Children

Younger learners should use Love English under a parent or guardian who agrees to our terms and manages the account. Contact us if you believe a child has signed up without consent.

10Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We'll post changes here with a new date, and notify you of significant changes where appropriate.
